The Institute of Logistics Information Technology (LIT) is organized within the Pusan(Busan) National University for doing the national research projects to develop the next generation of logistics information technology in Korea. Since 2004, the center has become one of the nation's leading institute dedicated to port and logistics's research and evelopment.

LIT focuses on developing new technologies of port and logistics services in terms of IT-based technologies such as ubiquitous computing, RFID, RTLS, sensor networking, mesh-networking, optimization, automation, and intelligent logistics system. We will achieve a seamless transportation of logistics with smart and secure services.

LIT is funded by the Korean Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, for the 2004-2013 period. The annual budget of LIT is US $3,532,000.00 Today,

LIT is in partnership with the Global RF Lab Alliance for creating a network of excellence among international RF Labs whose founders are LIT(Pusan National University, korea), Chinese Academy of Science's Institute of Automation, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, University of Bremen, University of Parma, University of Arkansas, University of Florida, Georgia Institute of Technology.

Three academic partners have joined together to cooperate and collaborate logistics researches together.

At all campuses research activities, graduate and undergraduate course offerings, and professional development and continuing education opportunities combine to form the foundation and structure for educating the next generation of engineers in logistics and distribution centers. Each institution brings complementary expertise to the organization.
